anyone use other mediums besides photobucket? i cant seem to figure it out and would like to post regular shots without people having to click on them to enlarge em.

Rick here is the tutorial I wrote, if you have any problems PM me know and I will try to talk you through them...

How to post Qview to Forum:

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics...

Large ones that us old people with bad eyes can see.

For Step By Step Instructions On Posting Qview Check Out This Tutorial

I could never figure it out either Rick, I figured it was cause I was old. I use Picture Trail and am happy with it. they have a free account which is good , but I think I pay 19 a year and I have a ton of pic's stored.
It's real simple to use, here's a page for a car I got to sell. It took me no time to set up and I think it looks good.

On the other hand all my Q-view is all wadded up on one page with no rhyme or reason go figure. :)
Check it out;

Man I agree. What the heck 25 steps to post a pic sucks!!!! The tool bar has a tool for posting pics but does not work. Guess I am just lying about my smokes. Try pic pail wrong format say what that was not in the tutorial. O well.

The problem with accounts like those is that a lot of people don't want to have to navigate away from the forum to veiw pictures...

Every time you go to a different site you risk picking up Viruses and Trojan Horse's & Spyware...

What 25 steps? You set up your account to upload your pics at the desired size and then when you want to upload images you click upload images and select the one you want to upload. then copy the link and paste it in the forum...

If you have multiple pics then you use the bulk loader.

You only need set up the account once...

Open a facebook account. Upload your pics... go to the one you want on your thread... right click on the pic you want... highlight the URL and copy... paste URL into the image button in SMF. Sizes them perfect.

I have been using photobucket since I have been here. I don't have [roblem well yea I do. My photos after they get so old they disappear from this forum. So if I need to look back I cann't check them out here I have to go to an flash drive I have.

you can do it man, if i can do it anybody can. it took me a while but the other day i posted 2 pics on the test site. my wife thought i won the lottery lol !
hope i can remember how i done it. going to try some qview tommorow.

Photobucket has it's issues but I think they are the easiest site to link pics from. Thats a great tutorial Paul. Follow that step by step and there should be no problems.
When I upload a pic to Photobucket it says image upload failed!! But the pic is there and I can link to it fine. Might be my computer too.
What I do is once I have the pic displayed on Photobucket I right click on it. Scroll to the bottom of the little pop up menu and select "properties" another pop up appears which has the http location code for the pic. I copy that. Go to the forum click the add image button and delete the //http: shown in the box. Paste the //http: location you copied from photbucket into that line and click ok.

It's may be more of a cumbersome way of doing it but thats what I have grown used to and it comes easy to me now.

if your pics are disappearing here then the link which you used when you first posted has been changed or deleted. possible causes... moving pictures around in PB to a different file or deleting from PB. you say you have to use your flash drive to view, go to your PB account are they still showing up there??? i have over 2 years of photos on PB, i think i am at 29 pages right now and only at 6% of what my free account will let me have so dont see any need to delete or move anything. if indeed you did move things around and you want something to do some weekend you can go to your posts and edit them and insert the new image codes and delete the old from the posts and your pics will be back. if you deleted from PB then you would need to re upload them and then do the same. let me know...

on edit i went back to your early threads and indeed the photos were either moved or deleted. the img code used no longer links post back to an image. so pretty sure you prolly did some rearranging on your end. ck it out and let me know.
