One of the reasons I was wanting you to try. Things turn out different for different people.
It's a good recipe . Things factor in , like humidity and flour used . I'll run another batch soon . Use regular yeast , and proof the yeast in the water first with the sugar . Then add the flour , then the salt .
 
I usually have some Sour dough on the counter .
I'd say side by side you can tell the difference , but without that , I would agree . This is more " pastry " to me . I like jelly or preserves on this . Butter or cream cheese on the sour dough . It's really good Brian .
Just took this sourdough half loaf out of the oven for tonight's pasta .

I'll be making this pheasant bread early next week for sure . Great bread .
