So Lake Cty, FL
OK, you were at the store today and got seduced by one of the long french loaves or a baguette.
I was at Publix today and got a french loaf.

They pack them in those perforated bags that means it dries out overnight.

Well they don't fit in a regular bread bag without cutting in half.
How do you keep it whole?

You walked by the perfect and free long bag to keep the bread whole until ready to serve.

Side note. My local Publix gives me free bread bags for packaging my sour dough loaves. I hope this doesn't stop the practice. We shop at Publix a lot. So much nicer than the chaos shopping at Walmart.

Any reason to avoid walmart is a good reason.

No Publix out west... Just Kroger and Safeway for groceries. I try to buy everything I can at Costco on the executive membership makes it free. Our Costco has booze too. Big plus!

We have Kroger, Aldi, food 4 less, Sam's and of course creepmart. Cant wait for the Publix to come in and from what I hear they are planning on a Costco out by the base somewhere. RRD is in Louisville or make the trip to Jungle Jims again in Cinci.

I consider Publix a must do tourist attraction . When We used to go to Alabama , I always made at least one stop in Publix . When We were in Tn a couple years back , we passed a Publix and my Kids got all excited " Can we go in there ? " Lol .

That's interesting, we don't have a Publix near us and have never been but for us in the past H.E.B. was our "Publix". We always hit one when near. They have since built a number of H.E.B. in our area. We also have Kroger, Albertsons, Aldi, WinCo, Walmart, Target, Sams, Costco, Trader Joes, Central Market, Whole Foods, Sprouts, and numerous Super Mercado. We are saturated.
