Have to sleep on the refrigerators or smokers!!!

Have a great trip, Sepas,

Hope you all have a very safe trip down here.

And it's nice to see that you only have room for the important stuff.

I can still see a little room for a TV.

Good Luck to ya

Be sure to plug in Willie Nelson's "On the road again". That song always started our trips off on a good note.

Thanks everyone.

We made it down and got the truck all unpacked. My son drove down from Ft Bragg and helped us unload. Got some of the things in place.

We are back in nepa for my wifes last 5 days at the tracon then back down perm on Monday with the pups.

.

Glad the trip went well, and looking forward to more of your post..............

Now , my part;

Get a rod(anything that can be bent into an Oval)about 1/4",shape it and connect the ends. Now get Chicken wire(easy to find in S. FLA. with all the Cubans there),attach a piece to the rod, tight, flat and even. Cut a hole in that piece at the middle of your oval.

Now, turn over and make a 10" dome over the bottom flat part(edge to edge). The object will look like half an egg when finished...

Your trap is done; now when setting it,dig a hole about the hight of a Quail and extend from there away from the trap for about 10'. spread some Millet or other grain( small) around the begining of the trench and all the way to the middle of the trap and some around the inside(just don't get any close to the edge of the cage so they can't eat outside the trap, only inside. Set this out in the evening and check it the next late morn.(they eat early).

Now, if you have any birds, reach under the trap and grab the hole so your hand covers it and take your prize home for supper.

Quail are dumb, when trapped, they look up and keep jumping back into the trap if they fall into the entrance hole.

I've gotten so many that way as a kid, we always had wild Quail in the freezer.

Have fun and............
