Hey everybody, first post here and fairly new to smoking. I have a quick question for you guys.
I recently got a new masterbuilt electric smoker. Iv been dying to use it but it’s been so cold outside in my neck of the woods I haven’t even had a chance to season it yet. Today the temps outside are supposed to be around the 46 degree range. Is there an ideal outdoors temperature range for seasoning a smoker for the first time? I’d just hate to try and season it on such a mild day and the internal temp of my smoker not do the job of burning the bad stuff off effectively. If it’s recommended that I wait until a warmer day, I’ll definitely do that. Thanks a lot guys!

At what temperature would you say is too low to season a new smoker? Or does it really even make a difference?
