Well, it wasn't without a little learning curve and a few minor issues, but completed my first real cook on my new RT 1100. Glad I read about loosing the screws if the auger jams which caused me to abort after 45min on the wings I was smoking Thursday but got that issue solved and since I just got a new smoker and wanted to test it out. I grabbed a few other things and thankfully I wasn't on a real time frame when I let it run out of pellets about 5 hrs into my cook 😔.

All and all, everything worked out well and the ribs looked amazing, ran at 225* for a couple hrs and then bumped up to 250* for a couple hrs, no wrap, just ran them till they were where I wanted them and tasted as good as I've done in the past, but even with the issues, with less attention. I worked around my house all day, closed my pool, as well as made the chili (first attempt) thanks to set it and forget it..."almost"

Guess it's all part of the fun!

It's always fun playing with a new toy, albeit a bit frustrating at times. The ribs and chili both look great.

Those are some good eats. I need to try the chili.
Funny, I never really heard of it until a few months ago until I started looking at a pellet smoker and it has been everywhere since... maybe it's the time of year or something, guess I really couldn't have done it as easily on my Kamodo so this was a good chance to try and it just sounded good.

That looks like killer eating to me. I hope you enjoy that cooker as much as I've enjoyed mine. Yeah it will get better with each cook (experience & flavor from a seasoned cooker!!!!) Congrats on the new cooker and that meal. It looks tasty!
