Colorado
We go snowboarding and skiing, then eat burgers and fries with cold local beers on the mountain.

I start this when I was single, then when we got married my wife and not happy about this concept...at first. I said you can see me when I get home or we can go together, but its happening. Took very little time before she start to love at least as much as me. Today was a stellar powder day, no crowds,

I’m not a skier or snow boarder but I’m sure it’s awesome. My wife skis and is going to Colorado with our boys next week for a few days.

Beautiful site...

I use to do that as a teenager all the time on Christmas Day! Some of the best days skiing ever. Good times!

Edit.....I’m a bit of a fan of Alta!

Exactly! Usually about noon it starts to fill in with a bit more people...thats when we leave.

Awesome tradition there. I remember fondly my skiing days where I would use the bunny hill and slam into the fence at the bottom.

But that is a beautiful view!

Alta you say? I have skied there and its a nice mtn. The Bird is our fav...and they allow snowboarders.

Yes Alta I say......yes Alta is a old school ski....that’s cause those that help build it were purists to the point of almost a religious gathering..... nothing wrong with a board though......I have boarded but only on the white sands of New Mexico...

Sounds like a great time Sandy. I remember travelling to outside Quebec City from Atlanta to ski during Xmas in 81! I was 11. If I tried that today, I think I'd herniate my pancreas.
