Making a Greek salad today to go with some Green Thai curry chicken soup. I had bought a three pack olive sampler from somewhere and they pretty mushy. Pretty much no texture. I never know what to buy. Any suggestions?

Kalamata olives just aren't your thing.
They have a much different taste and texture from Spanish / Queen olives

I've rarely encountered an olive I'm not a fan of, but Marmarabirlik Dried Natural Black Olives from Turkey are phenomenal. They can be found in Turkish or Mediterranean grocery stores as well as Amazon. They're wonderful!

I like the ones at Sam's but it comes in two big jars. There where some in Dallas at Central Market's Deli that where so good but the price is crazy high and I dont get that way anymore.

Now you guys have sent me down the olive worm hole.....

I love olives, but yep... quality is sketchy until you find what you like. I normally don't eat them in things, just straight out of the jar or in what I call filthy martinis. I had to go see what I had on hand. That's about as much vermouth that ever gets into my martinis.
