A few years ago we got a small Bakerstone pizza oven for our gas grill.
grill.
It fits right into the Weber and away we went making pizza. It does a nice job and the IR detector says it gets a little over 500 F.
As we continue making pizza, we have learned that hotter is better. So here is my latest idea….
Using an old Oklahoma Joe’s grill, I am planning to make a grate insert to hold our little pizza oven. Anyone tried this or have any thoughts?
I’m pulling the legs off another OJ and will install those to make it more stable. I can also use the taller stack from the other one to get more draft if I have trouble with the fire. It seems like it is similar to the gas grill, but I am hoping for some improvement using wood/charcoal to heat it….
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks.
