The love for pulled beef chucky !
Let me say that's it's been a while since I posted a cook. Life has been crazy.
Family had Covid in April with wife hospitalized for a week . Had to kick my
BIL out due to his relapse to addiction.
Daughter and 3 yr old granddaughter moved by in due to impeding divorce from domestic violence( a blessing). Another daughter for married in Sept. MIL passed away 3 weeks ago from covid related illness. BIL was arrested the night before her funeral so he missed his mom's last days on earth and her burial.
But I have been cooking almost daily but not taken time to post.

Found these 2 chucks on sale for $4.99 lb and decided now is the time !
Rubbed 1 with a coffee rub the wife likes and 1 with Twisted Q Insane Cracked Pepper. Love this on steak and burgers. Had room so added cream cheese and coated 1 with Everything Bagel and 1 with Honey Garlic. Had some pretzels open so a light stay of butter and doused with Kosmos honey pecan. 20211030_114040.jpg 20211030_115953.jpg

Simmered at 225 for 3.5 hrs and pulled at 160° then into the pan. While looking for beef broth I ran across a bottle of Kosmos Q brisket mop so wh not. Mixed 1/2 bottle with water and panned and in the oven for around 4 hrs till it hit 210 IT. Wife was already commenting on the amazing aroma ! Let it rest covered in a towel on the counter for an hr after the Dawg's victory in anticipation of the same from the Braves! Pulled and plate shot. Man the family says ( and I agree) this will be added to the weekly rotation! Made for some great sammies. Added some jalapeno pepper to the cc and it was great.
Thanks for looking and sorry for the long post.

Sorry to hear
Sometimes life just keeps throwing you curve balls and you have to be strong to handle it all. Even if
you sometimes just want to say I'm done . you are obviously strong enough to hold it
all together for your family and yourself. Here's to smoother times ahead.

Great looking cooks

Thanks David and we're gonna make it for sure.
Just try to work and cook to overcome lol

I haven't pulled a chuckie yet. Have to talk the Mrs. into it.
Looking forward to seeing yours!
You have had a full plate of life. Your BIL reminds me a bit of my son I'm afraid.
Keep your head up so you can make the decisions, take care of those girls and cook on.

Sorry for your family, but glad you have the fortitude to persevere.
I do have a quick question on the Everything Bagels cream cheese. Did it taste as good as it looked? That's probably something my wife would go for.

When it rains, it pours... it's how you handle it that builds character.
Cooking and smoking sure is cheaper than a therapist and much more rewarding.
Hang in there.

Yep addiction is terrible on families and we saw it coming and I warned him.
Prayers for your family and your son !

Sorry for the troubles you've gone through. I know how it feels. Your food looks top notch by the way.
Thanks Steve and all is well.
And the sammies were a big hit with the fam.
The idea came from the good folks here !
Also part of my sanctuary !
