Hey everyone. Posting from Middlebury, IN. Have a Dyna-Glo propane smoker just got it for Christmas. Smoked a brisket, and in the midst of smoking (2) 9.5 lb pork butts as we speak. I'm 19 hours in and still sitting at 183. I didn't foil but the bark is looking real good. Having some trouble keeping the temp consistent with 10-25 degree swings. Do propane dampeners open increase temp or decrease?

Any help would do! I have an igrill2 I am getting temps from.

Hey Nate  Sorry that I am late in seeing your post.  I figure a minimum of 2 hours per pound for butts,  (Never foil a butt, myself), and I've had a few butts go over 2 hours per pound.

Hope that yours turned out good.

I don't have experience with propane and so can't offer any advice on that.  There is a "propane page" on the site where you might find some answers.

Thanks for the response! They turned out great when I pulled them off. I'll take it!
