Went to a garage sale today and picked up an Electric ECB for $20. I have to clean it up a little bit and probably season it agian, but it's in pretty good shape. Didn't come with the lava rocks though. Should I pick up a bag or are there any alternatives?

Finished the 5 day e-course yesterday and hopefully will have my first smoke next weekend. Probably will start with ribs using the 3-2-1 method.

Love everything I've been reading on the forum and can't wait to get smokin'!

A couple of pictures from my first smoke on Sunday! Wish I could have taken more along the way but it was a busy day. Lots of pressure too with the in-laws coming over to eat!

Spare ribs rubbed and ready to go!

Hot off the smoker!

Baby Backs ready to eat!!

I used Jeff's rub recipe and bbq sauce and it turned out great! Everyone loved them and I can't wait to try some other things!!
