NEWBIE Smoker

Hi. My name is Ruel Cubid from Calgary, Alberta. As you may have noticed my handle "ruecooks2" I love to cook for my family and friends. I take pleasure in serving them with a home cooked meal and watch them enjoy the food. I am new to smoking meat (roughly 6 months) when a co-worker gave me a basic Grillpro 16" traditional charcoal smoker. I have been reading a lot from this forum and has learned a great deal. I didn't think I will actually like smoking meat as I do more roasting in the oven than a grill. I love barbecuing meat on skewers (traditional Filipino BBQ) and fish but someone since I started using the smoker I began to appreciate it more. I look forward to learning more on the ins and outs of smoking meat through this forum with the hopes that one day I will be able to share some of the things I learned. Cheers.
