Hi there, I live in Toronto Canada and am very new to smoking meat. Three years ago I switched from a propane BBQ to a 22.5" Weber Performer Premium kettle. Since then I have tried using it to smoke with some success but I just wanted more. I just finished building a UDS and smoked some baby back ribs yesterday and they turned out great. I still have a lot to learn in terms of using the UDS and keeping the temperature steady but I am looking forward to the journey.
This site looks like a great place with lots of information so I know where all my free time is going to be spent in the near future.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a cool, cloudy November day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.

Welcome CC, from NE Georgia! You are correct, tons of info here and some of it can be daunting, so don't hesitate to ask all the questions you need/want! :)

Thanks for the welcome guys, this sight has so much information I'm going into overload trying to absorb it all. The down fall is that I'm having trouble concentrating at work, the good part is all I can think about is my next smoke and building more UDS'

Don't panic...this is normal. Your body will need to acclimate in order to continue to function as this is a highly addictive strain of fun. Just keep doing what you do as you incorporate smoking.
