Hi All,
Just found this forum a few days ago. Wow! Already learned so much. I'm a nurse, living in the Greater Washington, DC metro area. I love to cook/grill/smoke. My old CharGriller Smokin' Pro is dying on me and I am in the market for another offset. Am CONSIDERING a Peoria 24x4b Backyard Custom Cooker. Whew! Wondering what you guys (and gals) think of them.

I'm definitely an amateur at all this, but it is lots of fun and very rewarding (tasty). Looking forward to lots in good interaction with you folks. Thanks.

Krisby

It seems that I didn't actually post this thread so I'm giving it another go.

Since joining two weeks ago, I have settled on the PCC 24x48 with the insulated firebox.  Ordered it today!  Can't wait for it to be delivered.  Should be about 2 months.  Gonna have to dismantle my fence to get it to the backyard.

So, looking forward to some great interaction on the forums and to learning a lot about smoking/grilling/cooking and other stuff.

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Welcome aboard! If there's anything that can be said about residents of our fair city, it's that we're good at blowing smoke. Sometimes even good at BBQing too!

Hello and welcome from East Texas

Aqua,

I don't actually have the smoker yet.  It is being built and I should have it by mid-September.  Will post pics when it arrives.

Thanks for your post.
