Happy new years All. For our New Years dinner we smoked a 9lb butt, home made Mac and chees with green chili’s. Apple coke slaw which was a big hit. First time time SoFlaquers finishing sauce and wow. That’s next level stuff.
9ld butt rubbed down with Smokin Als rub. So far this is my favorite butt rub. 10 hr cook at an average of 230. Used oak, cherry and apple. Total cook time was 10 hrs with an hr rest. Mac takes about an hr with partial cook in oven and final cook for smoke which takes about 30-45 minutes,

bark turned amazing, and the taste was excellent By far this was the best one I’ve done I have been doing them at 275 and probably gonna stick to the low and slow method from now on

starting to shred, but we stopped for some snacks LoL then shredded with the bear claws
