New to the smoking arena

Hello everyone...My name is Brad and I just bought Masterbuilt Vertical LP Gas Smoker. I'm in the process of seasoning this beautiful piece of steel. Looking forward to smokin my first piece meat. Went to Costco and bought some brisket, tri-tip, pork shoulder, and a 12 lb turkey... so any suggestions out there I'm all ears..or should I say eyes...
