Hello All,

The hubby and I live just south of Memphis and are new to the world of smokers.  He bought a Camp Chef pellet grill.  He smoked some chops the other day and they turned out great.

He wants ME to smoke some 6oz. salmon filets......  not a clue on how to do this.  Any advice would be grealty appreciated.

Salmon are real easy.

We just dust them with Cajun spice & put a couple patties of butter on top.

Smoke them for about 45 minutes at 225, until they flake apart.

The tail & belly will get done sooner, so you can snack on them while the thicker piece gets done.

The biggest mistake you can make is to overcook it.

I usually pull it off just before they are done & with a 10 minute rest on the counter the carryover cooking finishes them up.
