Good morning Smoking Meat Forums community!

I recently received the RiverGrille Cattleman smoker for my 28th birthday.  This, I'm hoping, is the starter smoker that eventually gets me into all the amazing (and delicious) adventure smoking has to offer.

I've messed around with some smokers in the past but will really be diving in over the summer.

Any advice, especially surrounding temperature control, adding wood timing and nuances of offset smoking would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Joe

Welcome from SC, Joe. It's good to have you here. There are many great videos to be found that offer a lot of offset wood management. After you have seen several of these and have some good notes, just start a fire, throw on some chicken qtrs and practice, practice, practice.

Remember, practice makes perfect.....and in the meantime, you can always eat your mistakes.

Good luck and good smokin', Joe

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a  hot and humid day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
