Hello everyone. I am looking forward to purchasing my first smoker. I will probably purchase a gas smoker. I look forward to reading up on some of your posts for helpful tips. Happy Smoking everyone.

I use a Camp Chef 24" Smoke Vault and love it!  Big enough for an entire rack of ribs....and easy to clean too.

If you need help roaming around the forums...just ask.  I will be happy to help where I can!

I purchased the Master Forge 50 from Lowes, $179. I purchased the one with the wheel assembly. Very easy to assemble, less than 30 minutes. I post a picture of the chip tray or smoke tray, to see if this is the same tray that people had disliked in previous comments I have read. Should I purchase the cast iron skillet to use instead? Any comments will be appreciated.

Welcome aboard! Glad you joined us. You've found a great place to learn and share ideas. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who enjoy helping one another. Good luck with that new Master Forge.  I don't know anything about your rig, but others who have used it should check in soon and give you some advice about that chip tray.  It couldn't hurt to give it a try and see how you like it before scrapping it for something else.
