I like the looks of that. I am usually not far from my smoker so the lack of a remote doesn't concern me. I'm guessing it might be a bit more reliable, accurate and sturdy than the Maverick. Pricey, but might be worth it.

Wow, I JUST received my Maverick ET-733 In the mail yesterday. Wish i would have known about about this! I'd have gotten it instead of the Maverick.

Nice looking unit. I've got a thermapen so I know they make a quality product. I've also got a Mav 733 that I love. Hmmm...How am I gonna explain to the wife why we just have to get one of these? "But it's really for you to use when you're cooking inside." Yeah, that's gonna be a hard sell! LOL
