Nice! I bought a mechanical analog scale some years back. I use it to weigh pork butts before I smoke them and then finished meat product after to get waste ratio. Also I get a good idea of how many people I can feed from the finished product. Other than that I haven't found much use for it.

Looks good. My OXO is indispensable for Sausage and Curing Meat. Get a cheap Digital Gram Scale, $10, for weighing Cure and other ingredients to .01g...JJ

Hmm, going to have to see if my SW has those. I have two good digital scales, but my large one is hard to read because it's square and any bowl big enough to hold 5-10 pounds covers the readout. I looked for "cheap" oblong ones when I purchased mine but all the oblong ones were to expensive.

Let us know how it works.

I use my kitchen scale practically every day...like JJ said, pretty much indispensable.
