New member, new smoker

Hello all. I'm excited to join the ranks of fellow smokers. My wife got me a Masterbuilt gas smoker for Xmas, and I've just finished seasoning it. I've already read about sealing it, lining the chip pan with foil, and getting a better thermometer. If anyone has any additional advice I'm happy to listen.

I look forward to perusing these forums for veteran knowledge so again thanks and hello.

Welcome aboard!  Glad you've joined our group.  Congrats on that new Masterbuilt!  You'll find there are lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
