Hello All,

My name is Gil and I'm (about to become) a smokeaholic.  I just purchased, and have so far used once, a Masterbuilt 20070411 30" electric smoker.  So far, so good.  I smoked some chicken breasts based on a recipe that I found in the smoking bible Smoking Meat  by Jeff Phillips and it turned out very good.  I have some specific questions about using this smoker and, for the moment, I'm wondering which forum to check since I don't see one dedicated to this specific model.  I'm also interested to know what others think of this particular model of smoker.  Again, it's worked well for me so far.

Welcome aboard. You'll find a ton of info on here regarding that smoker.  Just search "MES 30" and you should have plenty of reading. I don't have one but lots of folks on here do.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!  I've gotten some much-needed answers already and am feeling more confident.  I'm looking forward to branching out into more ambitious meats.
