Hi.

Like everything from the south Skeeter is my real nickname. I been smoking since I was a teen. The last couple of years I have ran my own cook-off team. Loving hunting just as much as bbq. I work in a chem. plant in south texas. I have a lot of friends that hog hunt since we are over ran with them here in texas. this is what got into starting a org. called Hogs Feeding The Hungry. Basically they donate hogs to use and my wife and I process them and then donate at to people who need meat in their freezers. This is how I came up on yall's page. I have been dreaming of a smokehouse house for years. Been using cardboard boxes with electric plates for heat and smoke . Worked so far but rain and humidity in south texas isnt great for cardboard. So, I went to searching and found this page. I have got a lot of GREAT!!! Info and ideas from yall. I'm in the middle of building my smokehouse right now. It's bigger than some of yall's but I'm going to smoking a lot more slim jim's and link sausage then most people do. lol  The smokehouse is 4X4X7 made from 3/4 plywood then wrapped in 1"x6" cider fencing. I got 3 full days into it and still working on front doors and have to put tin on roof, Then do the inside. Can't figure out how to start a forum on phone so no pics right now. Excited to get it finished and post pics on here to see what yall think of the "Infidel smokehouse" inside joke lol. but thanks ahead of time for all yalls help!!!

P.S. told my my wife about the Fatties!!! she can't wait

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per TulsaJeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
