I use a Dyna-glide offset smoker, it was a Christmas present from my wife about 3 years ago. It is cheap but it does the job. I like to use Royal Oak charcoal with a flavored wood mixed it. It gives me the best flavor in my opinion.

I got into smoking by a friend that has a stand at the local farmers market. He smokes meat, makes his own biscuits and his own jams as topping. Its heaven on earth.

I have smoked pork, brisket, ribs, meatloaf, mac cheese and various fruits to make jams.

I look forward to being a member.

Welcome from Wisconsin.

I started out using a Dyna-glo offset. Was easy to use and put out some really good Q but I didn't like the level of tending it needed.

There is lots of great advice on this forum and you will learn plenty!

Happy smoking! :emoji_cat:

Welcome glad to have you on board from the other side of the big ditch.
