Hey guys , new to the forum , bringing you a question

I know how forums work and have searched for this answer but cannot find it

We all know the manual is very vague , I have seasoned the smoker and ready to try my first meal

Do you fill the entire wood chip tray prior to starting the smoker ? Or do you just use the wood filler schute ? With the 1/2 cup of chips ?

Welcome! You fill the wood chip chute with a 1/2 cup of wood, twist handle to drop the chips into the wood chip tray..

As a side note, I have recently started to use an A-Mazen Pellet smoker (AMNPS) in my MES 40 with excellent results. This allows me options, chips or pellets. With the AMNPS I don't not have to constantly add chips. Search the forum to learn more about it.
