Hello all from Idaho I am Matthew, aka Ida Tater.  A friend and I have been using a Big Chief to smoke mostly jerky, sausage and cheese. I am moving on up and trying to decide between ST1400 and Smokin It #3. I have spent hours reading the forum here and now have basic sensory overload. I have found comparisons to the Cookshacks and I have read many rave reviews about the 1400 and the #3 but can anyone help out with a comparison between two. I am looking to smoke everything with it. any comments are helpful. Thanks

Hello Matthew and welcome to the fun.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  I'm sorry I can't help with your question but try posting it in the electric smokers forum.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Hi Matthew...Welcome to the group!  You'll find that this is a great place to share ideas on smoking, grilling, etc.  There are plenty of folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.  I don't personally know much about either of those smokers, but we have members who use them...you might post and/or browse the electric smokers forum for better info.

Good luck!
