Hello! I just bought a new Yoder and I'm pretty excited about it. I've been smoking for years so nothing new but learning the Yoder might be a bit of a learning curve. Gave up on the Treager. WSM has been the standard for years interspersed with a stick burner and a few others here and there. I'm excited to get the first cook going. Planning brisket for Christmas day but will probably do a couple chickens and maybe some ribs as a trial this weekend..

Welcome from Kentucky!

Yeah, I would do a few cooks on the new rig to get used to how it runs before doing the Christmas brisket.

Welcome from MN. That is a nice rig you have there. Good cooking with some good food I hope.

Welcome to SMF from central Missouri...

Former Mansfield, TX resident...back when it was like 12,000 people in the mid 90's.
How many live there now?
80,000?!!

Well at least you live in the right state!!! :emoji_wink:

Congrats on the Yoder. They are top of the line, and should give you years of cooking enjoyment.

Welcome from WI.

I like to get dry rub from Angelo’s on White Settlement Rd. Ate there a couple times many years ago, and have been getting their dry rub since.
I particularly like to use it on dried beef or venison.
