Hi all,

Marke here, from N. CA.

Been grilling for a while, but now I got me a Masterbuilt GS40 smoker. Wow...a lot to learn.

I'm sure I'm making a lot of newbie mistakes, even after reading a lot of info and trying out a few recipes - they were not too successful...I have a lot of questions, but I'll look around the forums and try to get some help and tips before I start asking them...<smile>

Well hey fellow NorCal'er!  Congrats on the new smoker and finding SMF.  Lots of friendly folks here with your equipment so be sure to share both your successes and "learning experiences" so your smokes can all be successful.  Smoking gives weekends a whole new purpose.  Welcome to the family.

Had a few failures so far....but I'm reading up on what I think the causes were, and when I get a little more up-to-speed I'll ask a few questions if I don't find the answers first.
