Hi All,
My name is Jeff and I live in a suburb of Charlotte, NC. I've been a subscriber of Jeff's Smoking Meat newsletter for a while now and I've purchased and used both his sauce and rub since almost day one of me joining the mailing list. I finally got around to joining the forums after checking out a couple of Jeff's links to Facebook.
I've been cooking since I was young, but really love smoking and grilling. I've owned various smokers and grills over the years. My current stable includes a Bradley digital smoker, a large barrel style charcoal grill and one of the new Char-Broil infrared grills.
Living in NC I'm in the heart of one of the BBQ battle states. While people from state to state argue who makes the best BBQ, in NC folks argue which part of the state makes the better BBQ. Personally, having lived in Florida & Arkansas and spending time in Texas and Tennessee, my favorite BBQ is the BBQ in front of me.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of the recipes and cooking ideas here. One thing I've loved about Jeff's newsletter is the inspiration it gives me to try new stuff.
Jeff
