New Guy from DFW TX

My name is Brian from the Dallas\FTW area. I just purchased a Masterbuilt 20051311 GS30D 2-Door Propane Smoker.

I have been doing chickens and ribs in my grill for some time but just cannot get the temps low enough. I have even had chicken flambe a few times. :) My brother had a smoker and did a turkey and ribs, they were great.

I am looking for any good forums or info on smoking tips\tricks\supplies.

Are there local stores that you can get chunks vs chips? I have always used chips.

BTW cars are my thing, hence the user name Fast4drss.

Hello Fast4drss and welcome to the fun.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Try searching for modifications for your Masterbuilt.  You might not find that particular model but you can get some basic ideas of where to start.  I don't own one but many folks here who do.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!
