Been contemplating a new name for my boat. Finally landed on the perfect one for me....

C'est La Vie

Loose translation it means, "That's Life" or "Such is Life" in Cajun French

"The resignation and acceptance of things one can not control in life."

Such as paying for repairs on said boat. 🤣 Sorry I couldn't resist. Especially since tomorrow I am going to be under a blizzard warning it sounds like. @Brokenhandle looks like you're in for it too.
Winter storm watch so far... was 50 something today, rain tonight and tomorrow... then tomorrow night 1 to 3 inches of snow with 50 mph winds. Back up to 60 in a few days though.
No complaints so far, haven't put the loader on tractor yet this year. Only snow I've moved is with a shovel, like an inch and only a couple times. We've been in a burn ban at least twice this winter lol!

Be careful Ryan ,
you mentioned that a few posts ago, and now you are getting a little weather....It is only early |March.
We are always good for 1 blast in March almost every year here. Normally on the weekend of the big Homeshow show, it always screws up at least one day to go and look at all the venders selling their new products everyone needs for their homes and property's.

Love the name Keith, I missed this post last year while I was away working and such.

Nice boat , and I bet lots of good times will be had with that for sure. And yes the 40hp should push that around nice.
Mona and I love boating and fishing.

I picked up a Bayliner 21' Trophy Hardtop down in Maryland just outside Annapolis ( had a friend go with me to keep me awake and morel support, lol..
And dragged it all the way home. And I hate trailering anything ( that is a story for another day )

I called that boat " Road Trip " Fun boat and great for fishing.

Is it a bad sign to see 3 rooster pheasants on the lawn by the trees not more than 30 feet from the house? Last time that happened was in a winter storm! Not to mention it driving the dogs crazy!

I am very sorry to say this to you Ryan
When you look it up in the 1987 Farmers Almanac, it says 3 cock Pheasants on a lawn not far from a lived in building that, with in 48 hours there will also be a long line of Highway Snow removal vehicles and 50 road crew workers for a 10 mile and 30 day clean up job going on.

See below.

Because this is exactally what happened here in 2014/2015 Nova |Scotia, when the Pheasants in groups of 3 showed up on our lawns

Blizzard of 75 for us looked like that!

Yes that was down the south shore area of that year for us. We were in Florida , and came home to quite a s#%t show.
I told my son to keep the driveway cleared incase we get snow so it looks like someone is home , him and a neighbour shoveled for 3 days to get it cleared .

The news on the tv in our room in Florida said Halifax shuts down. I said that can't be good

Damb pheasants ha ha

My view from the boat for the day.

Very relaxing, not hot, no bugs....and a few fish biting. Great day! But- I forgot my life vest at home, had to drive 15 miles further to buy a new one at the walmart in Morgan City. Then I realized I forgot my dip net too! LOL! That cost me two nice 3-4# channel cats, but I did not care, still had enough fish to dirty a knife and have a few meals...

That took way more time than I first anticipated getting that boat back into shape. The prep for the marine coating and epoxy paint was involved...but it is professionally done-no corners cut and should outlast the life of the boat. It is like armor. I added the eva foam carpet for more cushion on my feet, and insulation from the sun heating the deck. Just going from a dark green to light bone white dropped the temp of the deck 25-30*F, the foam dropped it even more. Now she is comfortable to fish out of.

Nice work! what is a choupic? looks like the invasive snake head??? BTW I need another channel cat for my pond. My last one died last year after 15+ years and going from 4" to 34".
