New AMNPS Arrived Today

My new AMNPS arrived today from Todd and I can't wait to try it out. I picked up 2lbs of Pitmaster pellets with it to use with my first brisket next weekend. I do have a question though. I have the new MES 40 which doesn't have the rails. Where is the best place to set the AMNPS? On the floor away from the element? On a rack with a foil pup tent? Anywhere else?
