Not sure if this is the forum for this question but it looked like the best match. Moderators, please move to the appropriate location. Thanks.

I've posted a couple times about my air fryer and how much I use it (unfortunately, more than my smoker :(. However, it died last night. It's still under warranty but I'm thinking they won't cover dropping onto a tile floor.

Have narrowed it down to two brands which both get pretty good reviews and am Looking for experience with and advice. I would buy either a Phillips larger capacity air fryer OR the new PowerAirFryer ovens. The second is really intriguing in that it supposedly can do so much. But my experience has shown me that something that tries to do a lot of different functions usually ends up not doing any of the very well.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these?

Thanks for your help.

I have the Power Air fryer, & it is awesome.
It cooks food better than baking, broiling, or deep frying.
I've only had it about 1 or 2 months, so I can't say if it will last a long time.
But so far it has done everything it was advertised to do.

The Power Air Fryer is made by Tristar products. They make the Power Pressure Cooker (which is inferior to the Insta Pot) and all those other infomercial products with Eric Theiss.

I can't speak to the quality of their Power Air Fryer, but the company itself seems to get a lot of criticism from customers and I know some their other products are trash. If I were buying an air fryer, I'd definitely go with the Philips.

I have the Smaller Power AirFryer, and I love it, except it's too small, now that I've seen the one "SmokinAl" has.
I sure wish I'd have that one.
I'd Go with the "Power AirFryer" Oven, in a Heart-Beat.

Thanks every one for your replies. Ended up ordering the Phillips XL. Great reviews on every sight. It will be interesting to see if it cooks differently than the one I had (Cooks Essentials from QVC). I really like the idea behind the PowerAirFryer but think the concept is too new and not fully "baked" yet :p

Al, keep us posted on how well it holds up, please?

Another thing I would consider... on Amazon, I'm seeing that the Philips XL is $300 - $330.

If you're spending that much, I would also look into the Breville Smart Oven

Breville BOV900BSS The Smart Oven Air, Silver

It has really good reviews and has an Air Frying mode, I would look at reviews to see how good the air frying mode is. For $100 more it might be worth it (and I see it go on sale pretty frequently in the low $300s.)

I know they make other smaller toaster ovens, so one of their less expensive models might also have an air frying mode.

I'll be really interested to hear what you think about it after you've cooked a few things. I've been thinking about getting one, and like you, I found that virtually every site put the Phillips on top of the ratings. However, it is a LOT more expensive than many of the other brands.

I did briefly look into some of the toaster oven/air fryer combos, but the one that initially caught my fancy (Cuisinart) didn't produce very good looking food in many of the videos, something that Bear pointed out to me.
