So I’m curious to see where different companies or personal builds put their heat transfer tube going into the chamber from the charcoal chute and fire box. Some seem to have it above the ash grate at the level the charcoal is burning and the Myron mixon g series looks to have it right below the ash grate. If anyone has a gravity feed could you open the fire box and snap a picture up inside?... thank

I have a 560 but my phone is not sending pictures to my laptop.

The Burn Chamber is just the bottom 3 inches of the chute. The grate is the bottom of the chamber. The fan blows up through the grate through a 3" pot into the manifold. The grate has spaces large enough to allow slightly smaller than walnut size coals to drop into the large ash bucket. These are what gets the chips smoking.

So the fan blows the air through the top of the ash chamber, then up through the grate into the burn chamber, then it blows through a port into the manifold.

The design is elegant simplicity.

Only moving part is the fan.
