Finally got steel delivered for whole hog gravity feed cooker. Got plans finalized but need help with dimensions on the chute chamber. This will be reverse down draft with drop in water pan directly above the transfer chute. Id like the transfer chute to be as close to bottom of pan as possible to get water to steam but not sure how big area should be. I figured needs to be 6”-10” tall. Transfer chute will be 8”x2”. Drawing below with question mark is what im looking for.

Perimeter is 2x2 tube
