Sorry guys there is just something about ground beef when it comes out of the oven or smoker I don't care for.
No stuffed cabbage or peppers either.

Warren

Yeah, I'm not over the top of the old meatloaf either. It's ok. I really fooled myself for years thinking I liked it. Trying all kinds of recipes trying to take it to the next level.

At the end of the day, it is just a "meh."
Then I try putting it on bread to have a meatloaf sandwich, and it makes me just want a burger.

If anything i like it hot beef style. With bread/mashed potatoes/gravy...
But that's just probably the gravy talking.

It's OK Warren.
I don't like Rutabagas or Lima Beans.
Nothing wrong about not liking certain things.

Well I ended up with a nice little cut of tri tip
About 5 lbs worth.
I guess I'll be waking up early to fire the smoker.
I also defrosted some Chuck roast and I'll try my hands at burnt ends.
Pretty excited about that.

After some discussion with the wife, it looks like I'll be serving trip tip on an open faced sandwich, hot beef style.
Going to pop some flour in the bread machine tomorrow morning and whip up some Mashers, then I use the dripping sauce from the trip tip for the gravy.

I'll also be making some pulled pork ATB for a little warm me up with some fresh jalapeno from my garage.

Looking to be a gut busting Saturday!!!

That sounds like a mighty fine plan. Tri Tip is a favorite here. Enjoy the smoke.

George

Try tip and burnt ends going down.
