We bought a riding lawnmower during the summer.
I saved the shipping base.

My new base for my smokehouse. Gotta level and put a solid floor on it.

Rick, That is some good"thinking outside of the box" right there.

Base is 66x44.
Need to figure out how tall I want it.

Now that's a nice reuse!

Gut feeling ,,, 72" to the top plate if using a trussed roof .
Flat / shed roof ,,, 84" to the high point . Drop 12" to the watershed side .
For the floor I have 1x14 I took from the barn or I have sanded 3/4 mahogany ply that were lids on shipping crates. The barn wood is iffy because I dont know if there could be any toxic or oil in the wood from when they worked on tractors. I'm not sure on the roof yet, trussed may drip water off the side onto a pellet hopper, so a sloped flat may be better, with shingles like my PA smokehouse.

Maybe hit them with the hose and see if the water beads up in spots ?
