I've been wanting a flat top griddle for a while and not wanting to give up patio space for a dedicated cooker, I went with a Weber insert for my Performer kettle.
Assembled and ready for seasoning. I used Black Stone Griddle Seasoning with a little bee's wax because it was the same thing as Webers, but half the price.
She's getting hot.
Using Webers directions for charcoal setup it got really HOT, little over 600 in a spot. This is going to be a fun learning curve for me. I'm thinking that a full small chimney starter will be about right for breakfast in the morning. I have some nice thick cut bacon so we will see how it goes.
