Sounds really good, but your attachments aren't working. All I get when I click on them is an error message.

should say the last 1/2 hour in foil was out of the smoker

That looks great, looks like you have been doin it for years. Living in California Im always surprised to hear how many people have not had Tri Tip. Its one of my favorite cuts. The flip side to that is I tried my first brisket this year lol. Anyways, I was rambling. Your cook turned out fantastic and I’m sure it was tasty. Two thumbs up
 
Would love to hear about the marinade and/or rub you used. Just cooked my first one today (also 225 and then did a reverse sear)............mine unfortunately was WAY too salty.

Looks great! How was the texture? I’ve found that the pre-marinated ones have tenderizer in them that can overly soften them.
