Ok, sorry i misunderstand that, i need a lathe ....
Basically all you need to do it cut a piece of whatever size pipe and weld spokes in it. Cut the pipe an inch or two wide. We will have to find some pics of other smokers that have that style wheels on it to show you.
Something like this, but in stainless
Aren't we helpful---trying to make you work even harder.
How about something like this, only you can make them stainless & a lot nicer than these:
Wagon Wheels! Wagon Wheels! Or maybe you could find ya some pnuematic knobby off road tires...nah.. Wagon Wheels! Wagon Wheels!
Have you decided to put wagon wheels on it yet?
I kinda like these since it's all shiny
He he yes wagon weels is nice, very nice hmmmm, maybe...
Or something like this.
Find some really nice thermometer in my brothers garage today, special when it for free.
NICE score !!!!!
Cool find. At first I didn't think i would read hot enough, until I saw the big C on it.
That will look great on there.
That looks like it will match the style of your smoker really good. Why can I never find stuff like that laying around.
Mount the thrmometer today, and start manufacture the new wheel...
Flua, I can't say enough here.
You are a true craftsman. This is one of my top favorite threads, beautifull work.
If you don't mind my asking.
How much do you think you will have tied up when its all said and done, dollar wise in material.
That thermo is fantastic, I really like the looks of it.
Thanks "Tom37" I appreciate you like my work. I really dont now, many parts have i had since befor and some parts for "buddyprice". I dont now the wight yet, but my guess is 50-60 kg (110-132 lbs). I think the stainless price 6 dollar/kg In dollar maybe 320. I can compile when i finish...
can't beat that "buddy price"
Awesome start on the wheels!
I knew you could do it---I thought it would take longer though!
I just looked up "Craftsman" in the dictionary----Your picture was there!
Flua, you are an artistic craftsman. The wheels are over the top!!! I must say that your build is like reading a good book. I can't wait for the next chapter.
I want to jump ahead a chapter or two and see some great BBQ from that work of art.
Thank you for showing us the most beautiful build I have ever seen.
Man you do awesome work, you should be so proud of this build. This is a fantastic lesson for all of us
