Sold my welder years ago when I left the industry. Swore to never touch another one. But now I'm fed up with store bought garbage and don't want to fork out $4k so looks like I'll be borrowing or buying another welder. I think I'll enjoy it more this go round.

Be sure to show us when you're done...the enginuity and creativity many of you have when it comes to designing and building is awesome.

No joke. Some of these guys blow me away with their CAD drawings. I wish I knew how to do that. All my drawings are in my head. Hopefully this will be done before summer or at least my bday in august. I will continue updating as it goes along.

Will have 744sqin of cooking grate on lower rack. Haven't decided on placement of top rack yet. I have a plenum design in mind for my exhaust stack and have to figure out how the air will flow through before deciding where that rack should go.

Looks good to me! Is there a stop incorporated into the hinges or did you just have it propped up?

When I welded it I pinched the back together enough for it to pinch it. I really like the way the hinges look. They came with bolts but I bought a 1/2" rod as a guide and wound up liking the way it looked. The link for the hinges is below.

My handles on doors 1 and 4 are crooked...one day I'll fix them...probably not...you know how that goes. lol

Yeah I know. I wasn't going to but the more I looked at it the more crazy it made me. I realized after I posted that I posted the pic with the handle fixed. It was about 1/2" high on left.
