This was my first pulled pork smoke, came out great, pulled it off the smoker at 190, next time will try 205, but very happy with it. Was a 7 pounder took 17 hours. Smoked with cherry in an MES. Prepared with mustard and Jeffs Rub. Made a mustard vinegar BBQ sauce that i loved also: http://southern.food.com/recipe/big-daddys-carolina-style-barbecue-sauce-120492

Here are a couple of pics.

This looks way better than my first pork butt. Congratulations.

Looks great. Dandy job for a first time. Everyone likes different things, but every time I take one to 205° it seems too mushy for me. I like a little firmer mouth feel. About 195° is my favorite finished temp.

Great job on the PB - looks like you got a handle on this!! I like to pull at 205*

A full smoker is a happy smoker

If that is your first one wow, think you mastered it on your first try.  Good Job

thanks gary, i owe all of my success to this site and the people here, i am just following directions basically. So thank you to Jeff, SMF and its members!! I read a lot and think a lot before doing things in general. I only started smoking a few months ago, only thing that i thought was not successful was my first smoke of chicken (too much smoke), and it still all got eaten.

I will looking forward to future post and pictures

Success! Delicious looking pork, Paul! Very nicely done! Thumbs Up
