but grew up team roping. I still miss it sometimes, but that ship sailed a long tome ago lol.
Yep, we used to hit alot of the USTRC's & " Rope the Rockies "but these days it's hard the wallet, everything has gotten to expensive.

Man ain't that the truth! Not just traveling expenses and entry fees. Horses, practice cattle, trailers, trucks, feed & hay, pasture, barns, pens, fences...

Hard for poor working men to afford the hobby - especially if they want to get serious about it. It was always kinda like that, but more so now than it used to be. Hell a new saddle costs more now than I paid for my first truck

What a great day with the family doing just life and fun for the kids.
Good on you guys.

And then a great looking meal that they helped with , like said . That is what they will remember .

Now I want ribs and peaches.

Great day with kiddos. Them helping with dinner, having a little fun, and then sitting down to a great meal they helped make. Cant ask for anything more!

Great looking meal, and even better family.
I remember that "cowboy" was on my list of future occupations when I was a kid. But just like frogman or astronaut, it somehow didn't work out.
I guess Kindergarten fingerpainting eventually became meat rubbing, though. Thanks for reminding me of that memory.

Yes sir, he's still living the dream a ninja turtle one day & Spiderman the next lol. Ahhh to be young again.

Welp all done and these turned out fantastic, perfect tenderness in my book. Not fall of the bone but a smooth clean bite.

Damn, those look KILL'ER !!!
Boy do I sure miss time spent with my family like that.
Growing up, my parents had a summer place on one of our local lakes, we cooked outside 90% of the time up there.

I love seeing the kids outdoors having fun and helping out in the kitchen. Keeps them away from the other distractions in life...
