Milk Can Dinner

Normally I post my own smokes with a lot of detail as to how I did it. However, I was recently hosted by some friends in Montana when we went to a Griz football game. They treated us like royalty. There was beer, whisky, golf, football and great food!

For dinner, they made us brats and all the dinner fixings in a milk can. The meat, potatoes and vegetables were layered in with some beer and cooked over a propane burner. You now know what I know about the prep.

After it was cooked, they dumped it all into a clean cooler.

I was amazed at the great texture of the vegetables and they way all the ingredients flavoured each other.

Now all I need is help with explaining to She Who Must Be Obeyed why I need a milk can.

That looks great! If you ask maybe you could get it for Christmas! I was at a get together and they put the corn in the cooler with water they brought to a boil cooled slightly then dumped it on the corn and shut the lid. I can't remember how long it was in there but it worked great for a large batch of corn.
