Just ordered my RF MES30 from Amazon.  Looking forward to a Saturday delivery, early Sunday morning setup and burn out, and Sunday first smoking!

Not sure what my first attempt will be but it will likely be on the more forgiving and shorter duration since I need to get it set up and burn the mfg oils and stinks.  Maybe chicken wings and drums?

How do you get it delivered on a Saturday?  When I order from amazon on Thursday it comes Monday.

Stan
Not really sure.  It is Prime eligible but only had one shipping option.  Default shipping is to my office and had it estimated here on Monday.  Changed the delivery to my house and I got Saturday.  It's a first for me and I'll take it!

to SMF Mike! If you are looking for something quick and easy  your first smoke I would suggest some brats. Slice up some onions and peppers and place them in the smoker with the brats. It only takes about an hour and a half to get the brats to temp and I promise once you taste smoked brats you will never grill another one

.

I just brush a little olive oil on the brats and put the peppers and onions in a ziplock bag with a little olive oil and course black pepper and give them a good shake. Place the veggies on a jerky screen or disposable grill sheet so they don't fall though the rack and the brats right on the rack, set smoker at 275°, pour a beer, and call the neighbors.

Good luck with your new smoker!

Howdy Stan!

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us here!  You will enjoy your new hobby/addiction!  I ditto the Brats!  You will never ever grill them again.  They take less than 2 hours to be perfect too!  I don't put anything on mine....but I only use the Johnsonville brand...the others I have tried just didn't taste as good.  Wear a Bib!  The juices will run down your chin! good Luck!

Excellent!  Brats make perfect sense and it gives me a reason to go down to Findlay Market for some local cased meats.  Thanks for the reco.

I sure hope you get it tomorrow I would like to see Saturday delivery from amazon.  Sounds like a good choice for a smoker and Brats sound good you might try cornish hens they go quick.

Remember qview.

Got an updated delivery of.... TODAY!  One of the glories of being down here in Cincinnati is that there are so many Amazon DCs within 200 miles that about half the time I get my stuff next day.

Sparty On, Stan.  I hail from Flint and am an East Lansing alum!

It took me a quick minute to decode qview being new to the site but I got it figured out and I am all over that.  I take more food photos than any person should.
