No sliced pictures, they disappeared before I grabbed my phone :)

Looks great and I’m sure the Duroc was some tasty pork too.

Where do you get Duroc? I’ve never had or seen any for sale.

The meat is darker in color then the normal pork we get in a the store. Flavor is "porkier" (is that a word) but not as strong as some of the other heritage breeds.
I just upped a bet with a buddy to cover the costs of Duroc ribs & Brisket from Creekstone including the loser gets 1- Rack & 5- Slices of Brisket.

I just learned COSTCO ribs have a lot more flavor than the grocery store ribs. We had to default to the grocery store because $1.99 a lb is hard to pass up. The "meatier" sticker on the side doesn't mean tastier.
Three racks at COSTCO were hovering around $70. New hog law in Calif Pigs almost have to be chauffeured to the slaughterhouse in a new Suburban. That's passed onto the buyer.
Some of the recall candidates have said they'll repeal that law. Calif laws are a cancer than has a bad record of metastasizing across the nation.

I’ve been getting 2-Paks from Sam’s so for Labor Day I doubled up . Just smoked #3 of 4 with the last rack in the freezer. I took some to local Fire Department on Labor Day because I really appreciate 1st Responders. Each set was $2.47/# and just over 10#. Our Costco has St Louis 3-paks and I do prefer buying St Louis but with their much higher $/# I’ll go to Sam’s. and sometimes trim to SL
