MES 40 1st Rib Run

Can you use pelets in the mes 40 smoker? It says to only use wood chips, which im doing now. I am on my first run and doing a set of pork ribs on. I have read post saying you can put them in the amps. But has anyone tried them in the chip loader that is on the smoker? Let me know. Thanks for your time.

If you put them in your chip pan they will catch on fire pan is right on top of heat source I build a smoker and use amps in it works great but I have seen some people having trouble with them in mes smokers

Before Todd made his little invention, I used pellets in my MES tray & they worked fine.

What invention? I have two tube smokers. I saw you can burn those inside the smomer but it was a pain because of air flow.
