The remote that came with the MES 40 2012. The digital did not read right (garbuly guck). Called Masterbuilt sent me out another one, no questions asked. That one reads right, but will not sync with the controller. Called masterbuilt and the think it is the controller, although I smoked all weekend using the controller only and it worked great. They are going send me out a new controller and remote. They have been great to deal with, no waiting on the phone. Great service, hope there right. I love the smoker. Really is insulated for MN winters.
